CREATING YOUR OWN WEBPAGE
Having your own website makes it very easy to create and share the 3D images like the T-Rex jaw object I used in another page on this site. You can also share images, documents, videos, and links to other websites.
To begin, choose a program for creating websites. I'd recommend Google Blogger. It's free and very easy to use. Simply go to www.blogger.com, and click on the CREATE YOUR BLOG button. You'll be asked to create an account with a username and password. If you have a gmail account you can use that information (HINT: get a gmail account - it will be very useful.) Once you've created your account you can go the blogger.com site and choose the SIGN IN button. Choose a name for your website/blog - make sure it's something easy to remember and type. Blogger will check to see if the name is available and then ask you for an address. The address will be the name you've chosen with a dot, then blogspot.com For example, if I choose the name Grade3Science, my blog address will be www.Grade3Science.blogspot.com That's what people will type to see my website. Don't worry about Domain names at this point, just skip that option.
After that, you can Choose a Theme - that's how your website will look. You can do all sorts of customization, colors, images, and so on, but that's all optional. When you're ready to start, you'll see something like this:

I've already done an Introduction, so that shows up as a Post (orange highlight.) You won't have a Post at this point, so you'll need to click the orange + button in the bottom right corner. Click on that and you'll go to the Post Editor screen.
Give the Post a title and start typing - it's kind of like using a very simple version of Word. You can insert links and photos at this point. Once you're done, you can preview it (the eye icon in the upper right, or when it's ready to go, Publish it (the paper airplane icon in the upper right.) It's now on your website. You can always go back and edit it or add a new Post using the + button. In your blog, the newest Post is always added on top the others.
Adding a 3D object.
